How do I prepare and file 1099 forms using the data from Wave?

You can connect a Wave account to 1099SmartFile and import your vendors. You then create filings and submit them. Follow the steps below.

Log in to your 1099SmartFile account.

Start the Wave connection.

Open Integrations from the left navigation and choose Wave.

Sign in to Wave and authorize 1099SmartFile.

Sign in with the Wave account you want to import. Review the access requested and authorize the connection. If you are already signed in to the wrong business, sign out of Wave and start this step again.

Import vendors and file.

Import your vendors from Wave, create the 1099 filings, and review them before you submit. Changes you make in 1099SmartFile are not written back to Wave.
